LOCATION:     Polokwane


Experienced HR Manager Position available at a leading hotel group. The HR Manager will be based at their Polokwane based hotel, and be responsible for all HR Activities for the Hotel. Due to the nature of the industry and position, the successful candidate must be able to “think on their feet”, as well as be operationally involved in all aspects of the business. Flexibility, passion and a ‘can do’ attitude will be essential to success in this diverse position.


  • A Degree or Diploma in HR
  • Proven experience in HR with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in the hospitality/hotel industry is absolutely essential.
  • Experience in Paryroll
  • Strong knowledge of BCEA, LRA, etc.
  • Excellent Managerial skills, and a “hands-on approach” and lead-by-example work style
  • A passion for creating an exceptional customer experience


The HR Manager will play a Generalist Role, and be responsible for all aspects of HR relating to the Hotel, ensuring all areas of responsibility are managed and delivered to the highest levels

Responsible for the Human Resources budget and training plan, where together with management, facilitates the evaluation of team performance

Employee relations, resourcing, compensation, employee development, training and succession plans,

Payroll, Managing, as well as the management of temporary employees, Timesheets etc.


This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills due to the need to liaise with key stakeholders, internal departments, management and staff.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to work irregular/long hours.
