DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fleet Controller to join a highly successful Private Logistics Business based in Wapadrand, Pretoria. This fast-paced and challenging role is perfect for a dynamic individual with a passion for logistics and a desire to grow in the industry. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Certificate or Diploma in Logistics or a related field
- Proven experience in Logistics, Export, or Bulk Transport industries
- Prior experience in the mining sector and working with African countries is advantageous
- Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Proficiency in Logistics Tracking
- Intermediate-level Excel skills
- Strong administrative abilities and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to excel in a busy, pressurized environment
- Availability for “on standby” duties every second weekend
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the MD, the Fleet Controller will oversee all company vehicles and handle critical administrative functions related to Fleet Management. This involves managing vehicle bookings, loading data onto the system, handling Proof of Deliveries (PODs), stock management, and general admin. You will also liaise with transporters and oversee logistics tracking to ensure seamless operations.
