Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Bcom degree in Accounting essential

• Professional Accountant (SA), SAIPA, CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification beneficial

• Proven experience within an accounting practice preparing Annual Financial Statements and tax computations independently

• Strong knowledge of Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

• Experience with SARS eFiling, VAT, payroll, EMP501, COIDA and CIPC submissions

• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience advantageous

• Excellent communication, organisational and client relationship management skills

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Experience with workflow management systems such as Monday.com will be advantageous

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals while reviewing and improving the quality of their work

• Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements for companies and trusts

• Prepare corporate, individual and trust tax computations and provisional tax submissions

• Manage client portfolios and build trusted long-term client relationships

• Drive workflow management through Xero Practice Manager to ensure deadlines and compliance are consistently achieved

• Oversee SARS eFiling, VAT, payroll, EMP501, COIDA and CIPC compliance

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the continued growth of the practice

• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver exceptional service and technical excellence
