Description/Synopsis:

A well-established engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to strengthen its Building Services division. This role focuses on the design, management, and delivery of complex electrical building services projects, including healthcare and commercial developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, financial oversight, and mentoring junior engineers within a quality-driven consulting environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• ECSA registration (Pr Eng) – mandatory
• Minimum 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in Building Services
• Proven experience in lighting, small power, reticulation, UPS, emergency power, nurse call, fire detection, and PA systems
• Strong project and financial management capability
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

Main Responsibilities:

• Design of electrical systems for building services projects
• Manage projects from Stage 01–06 with minimal supervision
• Oversee budgeting, cost reporting, payment certifications, and final accounts
• Prepare and manage project cashflows and invoicing schedules
• Liaise with finance, clients, contractors, and professional teams
• Conduct feasibility studies and compile technical reports
• Mentor and train junior engineers
• Ensure compliance with the company’s QMS procedures and documentation standards
• Attend site meetings and provide construction phase support
