Description/Synopsis:
Our client, a successful manufacturing business based in Midrand, has a newly created role available for an Internal Audit & Quality Assurance Officer. This key role ensures the integrity and improvement of all operational and quality management systems within the business. Working with management and cross-functional colleagues, you’ll implement and enhance internal controls, maintain the QMS, drive audit compliance, and support a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Quality Management, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation (or studying towards) an advantage
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in internal audit and quality assurance
• Experience in the manufacturing/production industry essential
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, ISO standards, risk management, and TOC (Theory of Constraints)
• Strong process-driven approach and exposure to manufacturing environments

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and manage internal controls across key functions (sales, procurement, stock, HR, production, assets, cash)
• Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring all procedures and documents remain current and compliant
• Conduct scheduled audits (operational, financial, quality), document findings, and ensure improvement measures are implemented
• Support the identification of process owners, accountability, and good governance
• Manage non-conformance reports and corrective action processes
• Regulatory compliance according to industry standards
