Description/Synopsis:
The Marketing Manager will take ownership of all marketing activities across digital and on-the-ground channels—including retail, depot, B2B, professional, and export markets—for a well-established company in the industrial and agricultural sector. This is a “hands-on role” focused on strengthening brand presence, improving customer experience, and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across all touchpoints. The role partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Processing, and Executive teams, ensuring that marketing activity supports broader business objectives across domestic, regional, and export markets. A key priority is driving and expanding export-focused marketing initiatives, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to enable market growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or similar
- 5 – 7 years’ experience in marketing management, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, production, agriculture, processing, timber, construction, or related sectors
- Hands-on experience with CRM, campaign analytics, and marketing automation platforms, executing SEO/SEM/CMS
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, HTML5, CSS3, Google Search Console, GA4, Google, LinkedIn and Meta Ads Management
- Experience developing and implementing B2B and B2C marketing strategies
- Understanding of branding, digital marketing channels, and content creation
- Proven ability in market analysis, segmentation, and positioning
- Strong project management and budget control experience
- A practical individual who enjoys “getting their hands dirty”
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, drive, and execute cohesive marketing strategies to support growth objectives in South Africa and export markets
- Lead brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Coordinate market research, competitor analysis, and market segmentation
- Plan and manage product launches, campaigns, and events
- Oversee execution of digital marketing, social media, communications, and PR activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders, aligning marketing activities with commercial goals
- Monitor marketing budgets and ROI, providing regular performance reports
- Support sales teams with effective brand collateral, lead generation activities, and market intelligence
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, exhibitions, and conferences
