Description / Synopsis:
Research Technician with a reputable leader in the agriculture sector, based in Potchefstroom area. The research technician will form part of the research team and will be assisting with planning, execution and monitoring of various crop trails, as well as, collecting and managing research data. This exciting role will gain hands-on experience in planning, implementing, and managing crop research trials, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and collaboration during key agricultural events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Agriculture
• Experience or exposure to agricultural research/R&D
• Good communication and administrative abilities
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel and work overtime during peak seasons
• Dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all data.
• Planning and outline of statistical trials
• Plant, monitor and harvesting of trails according to company protocol
• Coordinate and implement crop trials
• Gather, manage, and analyse research data
• Support demo plantings and farmer days
• Assist Marketing Managers during peak planting and harvesting seasons
• Maintain data accuracy and support general research activities
