Description/Synopsis:
The Senior Commercial Operations Lead will play a critical role in cross functional, informed decision making, and a strong influence across various parts of the Business, including Processing, Supply, Chain, RCMs and Export.
Proven commercial operations experience and robust business acumen are essential, as ASP (Average Selling Price) performance and disciplined margin enhancement are core measures of success.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Proven track record in commercial operations, sales operations, S&OP, or allocation governance
- Experience in Production/Manufacturing/Processing/Milling/Agriculture industries
- Advanced financial and business acumen; deep understanding of margins, contribution, ASP, cost-to-serve, and commercial trade-offs
- Experience enforcing pricing discipline and order approvals
- Ability to challenge, influence, and guide stakeholders across sales and regional teams, while sustaining strong working relationships
- High-level analytical, negotiation, and conflict management skills
- Strong ERP skills, data/financial metrics experience

Main Responsibilities:
- The successful incumbent will work closely with Regional Commercial Managers and Customer Relationship Managers, making discerning calls on which customer orders to accept or decline based on strategic margin and value impact.
- Govern order acceptance processes across multiple sites, ensuring all commitments align with approved pricing and margin thresholds
- Enforce pricing discipline—remaining vigilant against margin slippage and suboptimal deals
- Analyze and approve or decline orders based on net margin, commercial value, and organisational priorities
- Collaborate closely with sales and commercial teams, driving alignment but retaining control over strategic commercial decisions
- Monitor and report on key metrics, especially ASP and margin performance
- Serve as the commercial “control point” for deal structuring, pricing escalations, and customer commitments
- Uphold a well-disciplined operating rhythm for commercial reviews and approvals
- Drive improvements in sales and operations planning, allocation governance, and commercial reporting
