Description/Synopsis:

Our client, an industry-leading agriculture company with a national footprint, is seeking an Agricultural Area Sales Manager to manage and expand seed sales across the Howick region. The role oversees a network of independent agents, ensuring they are active in the field, meeting targets, and providing excellent service to farmers.

You will act as the central point of contact for farmers, handling queries, complaints, and technical support while ensuring smooth coordination between agents and the Howick branch. This is a highly mobile role — ideal for someone who thrives on relationship‑building, problem‑solving, and spending most of their week on the road.

Minimum Requirements

• Agricultural qualification or studying towards

• 3–5 years’ experience in agricultural sales or agronomy

• Valid driver’s licence

• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

• Ability to work independently and travel extensively

• Comfortable managing agents and handling farmer queries and complaints

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and support independent agents across KwaZulu-Natal

• Ensure agents meet sales targets and maintain strong farmer relationships

• Oversee sales flow from agent submission to delivery and invoicing

• Conduct regular farm visits and agent check-ins

• Provide support for farmer queries, including seed complaints

• Work from the Howick branch on office days; field-based most of the week

• Contribute to regional sales growth and market development
